Have been thinking more about the future of web 2.0 recently.
AJAX and all seems to be the thing to do these days. It looks kinda flashy. It’s responsive. But, it’s basically another ‘dancing bear‘. It’s a whole heap of ugly code, to get a UI that STILL isn’t nearly as usable as a well designed desktop app.
Having recently discovered the cleanliness and power of cocoa programming, I’m hoping that desktop app development will be around for a while yet …
