These dudes make coffee cups, with pictures of animal mouths on the bottom … kinda makes the drinker look like a loog, without their knowledge.
Brilliant.
Apparently, in the first two weeks after vista was launched in China, a whopping 244 copies were sold. Brilliant.
What does this mean?
Good times …
This guy implies that christian entertainment (ok, his discussion focusses on books … but, I’d include music in there too) is mostly rubbish. Most of it is predictable, bland, and divorced from reality.
“Christian fiction seems to be a safe harbor for people who want no cursing, or sex, or difficult theological quandaries. It’s a place where the bad people are clearly bad, where the troubled find Jesus, the wicked get their comeuppance, and children have the wisdom of angels.”
Have to say I generally agree.
As well as extending from books, to music, I’d probably include the majority of sermons I’ve heard in my life too …
Good times.
Just downloaded a new tool from MS: windows live writer.
It’s basically just a tool that allows you to blog from your desktop, then publish directly to your blog – without having to actually navigate to your blog, and use the online blog publishing tools.
It works with MS live spaces (obviously), but also works with wordpress (again … obviously) and I suppose a few more.
One great feature, is it’s ‘live preview’ – which allows you to view what the post will actually look like, based on the templates / css from your blog …
Seems pretty easy to use – and, hasn’t crashed on me yet (3 minutes, and counting …)
Good times.
Test, here.
Me:
“You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don’t think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.”

Just watched ‘The Fountain’. It’s a really crazy movie, with a pretty intense storyline … But, the soundtrack and visuals especially stood out to me.
Amazingly, the amount of computer graphics used was actually fairly minimal … (You wouldn’t think so, from the following screenshots)
Most of the crazy swirling spiritual galaxies were actually created by this fulla doing macro-photography. ie, photo’s through microscopes and all … comes out looking crazy organic …
Good times.
Here’s a video of a games editor for a magazine learning how to fight like a chick. Here.
Just noticed that you can search for any date in wikipedia, to return a list of interesting things that happened on a particular date …
ie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_4
I looked up my birthday, and discovered that the following things happened:
I also discovered that I share a birthday with Hugh Grant, Adam Sandler and Rachel Hunter.
Some loog came up with the brilliant idea of implanting a tiny magnet in one of his fingertips. Because the magnet is affected by metals and other magnets, he can now ‘feel’ electromagnetic currents …
